When you send an enquiry we store your email address, your message, the optional first and last name you enter, the type of enquiry and the language of the page.

We use these details only to answer your enquiry and, if a project follows, to prepare it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps prior to a contract — and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in replying).

If email delivery is enabled, you receive an automatic confirmation that your message arrived.

We send the newsletter only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). After you sign up you receive an email with a confirmation link; you are subscribed only once you open it (double opt-in).

We store your email address, language and the time of sign-up and confirmation. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email, which also withdraws your consent.

To protect the forms against spam we store, together with a submission, a one-way hashed (pseudonymised) form of your IP address and your browser identifier. We never store your IP address itself (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Form data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Paris, France). Emails are sent through our email delivery provider. The website is hosted by Vercel, and project images are delivered from the Wix media network, which receives your IP address when your browser loads them.

Where providers process data outside the EU, this happens on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Enquiries are deleted once they are no longer needed, at the latest 24 months after receipt, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.

One functional cookie (VARI_LOCALE) remembers the language you chose, your browser’s local storage remembers whether you have already seen the intro, and a cookie (vari_consent) stores your cookie decision. These are necessary and stay on your device.

Statistics and marketing services (such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or the Meta Pixel) are only loaded after you consent in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). They may transfer data, including your IP address and device information, to the providers, also outside the EU on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

If you agree to marketing cookies and send us an enquiry, we may also report the enquiry to Meta in pseudonymised (hashed) form to measure our ads. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to info@vari-studio.com.
